Trickywoo is another long term resident at the sanctuary. Having apparently spent many many months in a totally dark shed. Her original owner, an elderly man, living with his wife, died leaving the house and all its content to his nephew, rather than his wife who had been caring for him through a long illness (in Ireland the house does not automatically go to the wife!). The nephew, sold the house and effectively evicted his mother!! Trickywoo was living at the house in a shed at the time and the mother could not take her, so she came into the sanctuary. Her long coat was completely matted and she still preferred a place in the dark where she obviously felt more secure. She has been at the sanctuary for over a year now and though her appearance is rather wild and alarming, she is in fact a loving and affectionate creature and no longer hides inside her kennel. She gets on well with all the other old timers here though she and old Rags usually argue over food!!! Once again we have decided that it would be best to keep her here at the sanctuary as one of our Foverer Friends.
