Old Rags has lived at Briarfields Sanctuary for almost 4 years now. He is probably about 10.
He was rescued & brought here when we discovered him tied to a very short chain which had literally cut right into his neck !
Many of his teeth were missing or damaged where he had constantly tried to struggle free. In addition he had a damaged front paw, probably resulting from being entangled in the chain.
After receiving veterinary treatment we decided that we would not seek a new home for him as his earlier experiences had left him somewhat "touchy"
He is now totally deaf & still has a limp. He is a lovely creature He really enjoys his dinner (especially extra treats !) loves cuddles & also his walks with some of the other dogs here at the sanctuary.
