Here are the most Frequently Asked Questions, so far:
1) is there a way to contact Maethelyiah directely?
By email: You can try emailing iapstaff (at) maethelyiah.com (replace at with @) by specifying the subject to her attention or if you have a myspace account, then you can message her on her myspace page at http://www.myspace.com/maethelyiah. She usually replies personally, and just asks for some patience if sometimes it takes a while. Please note that she will reply only if needed and that she never deletes any message. However, due to the eccessive amount of spam, we are constricted to operate as a filter. If you want to contact her y post, please sent your correspondence to Maethelyiah c/o I.A.P. UK * P.O. BOX 2443 - SN2 1WZ - United Kingdom. We can guarantee that any post sent to her personal attention will be delivered to her personally but we can't guarantee a reply from her.
2) I am an artist and I would like to send some promotional copies of my works.
If you have a band, or you're a composer, a musician, a writer, a painter, a designer... whatever you can do best and you'd like to send your material, please feel free to send it to: I.A.P. UK * P.O. BOX 2443 - SN2 1WZ United Kingdom. We might take quite a while to reply but we guarantee we listen and take vision of carefully EVERYTHING we receive. The best works will be reviewed on our E-magazine "Avebury on lay-line" (available from January 2008) to help the new artists in search for suggestions, support and additional visibility. We do accept every genre, even commercial music, but this must be well done and most of all ORIGINAL! I.A.P. Produces 360° music. We are not interested in pop-clones, if so, then we kindly suggest you to send your stuff somewhere else... some labels can make you rich with that but we don't. It's our own policy to encourage real art, no matter what the mainstream says. This must be genuine and of your own property. Besides, even if at the moment we are not planning to produce some new bands, we will soon release a compilation where you might be added FOR FREE. Please check when the advert will be displaid on the main page of our website :-) It takes some time to arrange with all of us, but it's the price of working miles away from standards! Please note we are unable to return any promotional materials received, therefore we kindly invite you not to send masters.
3) I would like to get some promotional material from one or more of your artists:
There are 2 ways: one is to email enquiries (at) maethelyiah.com by clearly displaying in the subject "promotional material request - and the artist name". It's important that you display details of yourself and/or your organization, along with full address and contact details. We welcome small, medium and large medias to promote our arts.
4) I have my own label and I would like to get in touch with your artists without you being nosey, how can I make this happen?
All our artists signed a deal with us, but only regarding the publication of the specific books and records as they're not tied to us as human beings. If you have any good proposal that they may find interesting, then why not go for it? They might find it interesting. Any post directely addressed to them will be open by the recipient (see contact page). We all are open to new ideas, proposals, suggestions, but our artists think with their head, and not necessarily with ours... this is part of being independent too.
5) Your heptagolan CD cases are fantastic but my wallet isn't. Is there a more affordable way to buy your music?
Many of you suggested us to look for a cheaper way to buy our music. We do understand that Heptagonal CD cases are lovely, original, but not everybody can afford to buy CDs at current prices. Several labels adopted a method we think is suitable also for people who are in need of a cheaper way to buy music, still supporting their favorite bands and artists, keeping their conscience clear by not supporting illegal formats and most of all not killing music, because as you know music is artist's job, they live of that and it's not just a way to spend some remaining time from other jobs. Our Pyramid has then been created, not as a burial monument like the great Ancient Egyptians did, but to give birth to a new era where the choice of how to buy is all yours. So.... mp3 tracks will be available on our on line mailorder catalogue at £1.00 (Uk), Euro 1.50 (Europe) and $ 1.50 (Usd). The catalogue is under constant updates along with the whole website, as you can see. And for your friends who haven't got a pc... well, other than wish them to soon get one, we inform that a cheaper CD version called Economy CD is now available. For more details, then please click under the menu, where the Pyramid symbol is and enjoy a new discovery. We really care you all are happy with our products and invite you always to give us your suggestions. That's the way we all grow. However, funnily enough out Maethagones remain the most popular purchase format and this really makes us proud!
6) I own my own label and I would love to get limited editions printed in one of your original formats. How can I get this done?
Our Heptagonal, pyramidal and alternative formats are copyrighted. Should you wish to have your products in our formats or you would like to discuss a possible arrangements, please drop us an email at enquiries (at) maethelyiah.com and we will be happy to help. We are sure we will be able to create a proper design and boost your image in the most appropriate way. We are creating our Media section to give additional display on what solutions we can offer to your business, whether it's a personal, small medium or large.
7) I am a journalist, represent a booking agency, have my own brand and look for a testimonial and would like to contact your artists for an interview/gig/testimonial, how can I get this?
If you are interested in booking our artists for interviews,
just simply email the correct manager you can find in the contact
section. Please give full details of who you are, the media you
are contacting us on behalf, with eventual anticipation of dates
and issues. If you are intending to book our artists for tour,
gigs, TV or radio shows, then please give details as above and
allow not less than one month prior the performance date. No proposal
will be taken in consideration if not in accordance with the above
requests and only a very few exceptions can be given. Charity
organizations are welcome for initiatives, especially if compatible
with our philosophy. Also you can ask for a testimonial as long
as your organization/brand is compatible with our attitude, and
this means that we don't accept proposals if they come from extreme
religious or politic entities, if they promote sexual race religious
discrimination of any kind, if they encourage violence on humans
and/or animals. Anything else can be discussed. Please DON'T get in touch with out artists if you are a timewaster! We recently had requests for interviews/collaborations by so self called journalists/bands who ended up being just a wasting of time and even worse, who asked for some money to collaborate. Indecent proposers like above don't deserve to be mentioned here. Please get in touch with our artists only if you are going to do your job properly. Any proposal which involves our artists must be supported by written agreement.
8) I have a charity and like most charities I struggle to survive, and I need your help. What can you do for me?
We are always welcoming charities because we believe in reciprocal help. We are happy to build websites, help with campaigning to help, use our time to support. Last year we were able to contribute to the collection of 5000 signatures for a signature in support of the Irish rescue Briarfield Animal Sanctuary. Our community is quite vaste. We can't still make miracles and not only because we are pagans, but certainly we won't give up helping as long as we are here ;) Any website building and maintenance, help with campaigns etc is always done free of charge because it's done to help and not to make profit.
9) I want to swap links/banners, please.
Please email us at enquiries (at) maethelyiah.com and stick a link/banner exchange on the subject. This will enable the correct person to take care of your message.
10) I am having trouble with the mailorder and/or didn't receive my order and/or would like to be sure my order is delivered on time. Can you please help?
Any mailorder query must be addressed to cservice(at)maethelyiah.com. We tend to deal with your queries as quick as we can. Last year we experienced some issues with the shopping basked. This has been fixed and we haven't received an notice of trouble for now. Should you encounter ANY problem or need more detailed info, then please do not hesitate to contact our customer service. Errors can happen, but be sure we are here to help and it's in our own interest to do a good job.
11) Why are delivery charges increased?
Because the Royal Mail has actually increased the postage and packing tariff. We always ship your orders via registered mail, so that your pack can be traced in case of delay and it's also insured. In the eventuality of a damage or loss your order can quickly be replaced and sent to you again. Any other non registered mail can mean that your order might get lost, damaged or strongly delayed. We will now include as some of you have requested, to include the option to ship via non registered mail, but we strongly advise you not to go for it because we won't be able to help in case of a loss.
12) I noticed your domain name is iap-arts.com but your emails end with maethelyiah.com. Why is this happening? Is this Maethelyiah's label?
We lost count of how many IAP companies are out there worldwide. We struggled for quite a while to get a proper domain name and the first one we managed to register was maethelyiah.com, due to the immediate availability (no wonder, we still get it mistyped sometimes LOL). We might migrate the whole email addesses on iap-arts.com but this would mean to update thousands of contacts built in 7 years and we will do only if really needed. When we enlarged our production from music only to arts as well, we had the idea to get iap-arts and luckily we found out that the domain was abailable. The label is owned by the whole staff, including Maethelyiah. The idea started from her a long time ago and it gradually grew up because of our union. So she's in other words our Founder and co-owner.
13) My question is not included in the FAQ. What can I do?
If you think that none of the faqs listed above and/or any of the contacts listed in the contact
page can be useful, please email enquiries
(at) maethelyiah.com and we'll do our best to help. Your opinion
matters more than you think. Cheers.
The I.A.P. staff
